I had a recent death in the family; they had a will, but no trust. It got really messy with the probate courts and it’s going to be a long time before the heirs can have access to the estate. I know it’s possible to avoid probate with a trust, but I need advice. I have made an appointment with an
estate planning law firm, but want to see if anyone has any input on where to go or what to do. I was also thinking of making a different appointment with
San Diego Elder Law Center to see if they had any other suggestions, but I’m not sure if this is necessary? If you have any experience in this or have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks.
