Have you heard about the new Michael Savage scandal? He said that autism is a fraud. Is there any truth to this autism fraud claim by Michael Savage? I have no idea. Here's the story I read about it:

For whatever reason, Michael Savage decided that he needed to attack the autism epidemic, saying some pretty inflammatory, insulting, and just plain wrong things.

On his nationally syndicated radio show, Michael Savage claimed that autism is "[a] fraud, a racket. ... I'll tell you what autism is. In 99 percent of the cases, it's a brat who hasn't been told to cut the act out. That's what autism is. What do you mean they scream and they're silent? They don't have a father around to tell them, 'Don't act like a moron. You'll get nowhere in life. Stop acting like a putz. Straighten up. Act like a man. Don't sit there crying and screaming, idiot.' "

There is an online petition to demand his ouster – please sign it and pass it on to others. While "Savage speak" may be protected under 1st amendment, bigotry and hate (to boost ratings I suspect) should be denounced at every turn.

So what do you think about this autism fraud scandal by Mike Savage? Is he nuts, or could it be true??
