![]() A homeless fat cat has been found in Blackwood, New Jersey. "Princess Chunk" is a 44 pound cat that was discovered wandering around a neighborhood without a collar or i.d. Animal shelter officials claim that the 44 lb. cat could easily be mistaken for a dog, and that she is built like a quarterback. Apparently the owner had never heard of a diet! The rightful owner of this giant cat has a few more days to claim her. If she is not claimed by Sunday, Princess Chunk will be available for adoption. Is this 44 pound cat the world record? Not quite. The world record fattest cat belongs to a 46 pound, 15 ounce monster kitty from Australia: The largest tabby on record weighed 46 pounds, 15 ounces. That cat, who lived in Australia, died in the 1980s. The Guinness World Records has since dropped the category, fearing cat owners might harm their animals in an attempt to break the record. Now let me ask all of you a question. How in the heck can a cat get this big? My kitty eats like a hog, but there's no way she could ever weigh over 10 lbs. No way! Maybe this kitten has an eating disorder? I have no idea, but this sure is one weird story. If any of you have a picture of Princess Chunk, will you share it here? If you think you or your pet needs to lose a few pounds so you don't end up like Princess Chunk, will you consider anything other than eating Snickers together? lol |
